The Multiethnic State and National Identities: the Serbian Experience in the 20th Century

Ljubinka Škodrić, PhD

Ljubinka Škodrić (Belgrade, 1975) is a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Contemporary History in Belgrade. She earned her PhD in Yugoslav history at History Department of Faculty of Philosophy at Belgrade University. From 2001 till 2018 she worked in the Archives of Serbia. She specializes in the history of education and social history of Serbia during Second World War. She is the author of two monographies: Ministry of Education and Religion in Serbia 1941-1944. The Fate of Institution under Occupation (Ministarstvo prosvete i vera u Srbiji 1941-1944. Sudbina institucije pod okupacijom, Beograd, Arhiv Srbije, 2009) and Women in Occupied Serbia 1941-1944 (Žena u okupiranoj Srbiji 1941-1944, Beograd: Arhipelag, Institut za savremenu istoriju, 2020). Among her publications are collections of documents and various studies and articles in foreign and local journals and edited volumes. Areas of her research are: Gender History of Serbia, History of Education, Social History of Serbia, History of Serbian Archival Service.
