Kosta Nikolić

Kosta Nikolić (1963) is a principal research fellow at the Institute for Contemporary History in Belgrade. He graduated in 1988, earned his master’s degree in 1993, and completed his PhD in 1999 at the Department of History of Yugoslavia, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. His research interests include the history of communism in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the history of the Serbian people and society during the Second World War, the cult of personality in socialist Yugoslavia, and the collapse of Yugoslavia. He has participated in numerous domestic and international scientific conferences. From 2001 to 2020, he led three projects funded by the Ministry of Science of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Additionally, he served as the chief and responsible editor of the journal Istorija 20. veka. To date, he has published 44 monographs and 140 papers, including chapters in edited volumes, in scientific journals both in Serbia and abroad.
